Draw or work on your own project in the glow of He Hokinga Mahara, while author Stacey Kokaua reads aloud from Apai-marie, a book she wrote in collaboration with Georgina May Young and Sean Norling in 2023.
Āpai-marie tells the story of Georgina’s art practice like it is a fairytale. We meet the environments and materials involved in her creative process, and encounter Pikipiki, a kindred being who lives at the edge of an Ōtepoti forest…
This is an informal, drop-in session. Stay for the whole time, or just a little while. Pencils and paper will be provided, BYO materials if you wish.
All ages are welcome to attend.
